Abstract

577,815. Strikers for fire-extinguishers &c. GRASEBY, R. C. July 26, 1939, No. 21712. [Classes 9 (i) and 47 (ii)] A striker for piercing a diaphragm, detonating an explosive &c. comprises a striking pin 1 guided for axial movement and having a discshaped head 1b which abuts against a disc 5 fitted with a dome-shaped head 6 with a continuous rim. The striker is under the influence of a spring 4 and the disc 5 abuts against a flange 2a on a sleeve 2. The dome-shaped head may be fitted with a suspension ring connected thereto by a ball joint.
