[Classes 79 (i), 79 (ii), 79 (iii) and 79 (iv)] A power-driven agricultural or like tractor comprises a central or main frame 3 ... 7 having means at each end for detachably securing thereto an auxiliary frame carrying a member such as a wheel 20 or an implement 13, a power unit 10 being mounted on the main frame above a driving wheel 8 or endless-track which it drives through a gear casing 11 at one side of the main frame, a power take-off device 29 whereby the power unit can drive any implement or machine mounted on the frame, and means such as handles 1 to enable the tractor to be manipulated by a driver walking with it. In the construction shown, the main frame comprises upper and lower rectangular frames 3, 7 connected together by four upright or sloping members 5, 6. The lower side members 7 are plate members having their lower edges near the ground so that the frame can rest on them when the driving wheel 8 or endless track is removed or changed. The driving wheel 8 is provided with ground-engaging strakes 27 and is mounted between the plates 7 on a withdrawable axle of square or other section, this axle also passing through a corresponding hole in a gear-wheel in the casing 11, so that the wheel 8 can be readily removed and replaced. A clutch is provided in the drive from the power unit to the wheel 8. The front wheel 20 is mounted on an auxiliary frame 21 slotted at 22 to receive the wheel axle and secured to the main frame by a hook device (not shown) and a clamping screw 24. Weights 28 are slidable along the auxiliary frame 21 to adjust the balance of the tractor as desired, e.g. at the end of a furrow if the weights are at the end, as shown, the driving wheel 8 can be lifted clear of the ground and the tractor turned about the wheel 20 as fulcrum. The implement 13 is fixed to a cylindrical post 15 which is adjustably clamped at any desired height in the rear part 12 of the main frame by means of a clamping screw 18. A series of locating holes for the end of the screw may be provided in the post 15.
