Abstract
574,395. Covers for instrument &c. cases. BENDIX AVIATION CORPORATION. July 21, 1943, No. 11909. Convention date, Dec. 5, 1942. [Class 125 (iii)] [Also in Group XXV] A closure for an instrument &c. case comprises lugs 19, Fig. 4, on the container 10 which can be inserted in bezel 11, Fig. 3, and rotated so that they assume positions behind projections 23 to constitute a bayonet joint. The rim 13 of the container beds in a resilient seating ring 22 which holds in place a cover glass 21. A split ring 36 located in the bezel and co-axial therewith has resilient V-shaped tongues 30 which engage between the aligned projections 19. 23 and press the container rim 13 into the resilient sealing ring 22.
