[Classes 38 (iii) and 38 (v)] A controller for a motor driving a lathe comprises forward and reverse pedals A, B operating switch plungers 2, when depressed against springs 4. The forward pedal A is latched down by an arm 9 pivoted thereto engaging a projection 10. It is released by depression of a knob 7 or by depression of the reverse pedal B engaging a roller 8 carried by the knob 7. If knob 7 and pedal A are depressed together, the pedal is not latched down.
