[Classes 78 (i) and 78 (iv)] Conveying from working face in mines; tipping - apparatus.-In a conveyer system for use in mines, the endless haulage rope or chain 6 runs continuously and has spliced or joined to it short pieces 8 to which may be detachably joined the rope or chain pieces 9 secured to the load carriers 1, which can be guided on shunt rails 13, or turnout curves, turn tables, switches or the like at the working places and there detached for loading over loading platforms 14 at the working face, intermediate platforms 15 being provided as necessary. At predetermined places the carriers may be discharged during travel, for which purpose the track is filled with cylinders 16, Fig. 6, with spiral tracks 18 in the wall and shoots 17 for discharging into tubs or skips,. hinged shunt rails being provided to allow carriers to pass through without discharging. The carriers, trays, buckets or skips may be fitted with rollers 2 or wearing pieces to ride on rails or an inclined frame 4, Fig. 3, or hangers 5, Fig. 4, and may have one side 10 hinged to lower the floor and facilitate loading.
