Abstract
561,314. Plate heat exchangers. AKTIEBOLAGET SEPARATOR.. Jan. 18, 1943, No. 892. Convention date, Feb. 10, 1942. [Class 64 (iii)] Plates 14 enclosing by packing at their contacting edges alternate spaces, be tween the plates have the inlet and outlet parts 2, 3 for one of the fluids on one side of the plates and the inlet and outlet parts 6, 7 for the other fluid on the other side. The fluid entering- a space between the plates is throttled and evenly distributed by transverse ribs 15 forming a slit-like passage of cross-section increasing away from the inlet. Similar transverse ribs may be provided in front of the outlets.
