[Class 100 (ii)] A rotary pertecting printing-machine is constructed so as to ensure accurate register and so as to allow of accessibility to the parts by the pressmen, and is described in connection with an offset machine in which the axes of the plate cylinder 16, offset cylinder 15 and impression cylinder 14 form an isosceles triangle with the base joining the axes of 14, 16 greater than the equal sides, the base being arranged vertically in front of the feed board 10 from which the sheets are fed in registered condition to grippers 13 on the cylinder 14. From the cylinder 14 the sheets printed on one side are taken by two or other even number of cylinders 20, 21 and transferred printed side down to grippers on an impression cylinder 24 coacting with an offset cylinder 25 and plate cylinder 26, the cylinders 24, 25, 26 being arranged similarly to the cylinders 14, 15, 16 but with the base line joining the axes of the cylinders 24, 26 extending laterally from the axis of cylinder 24. The perfected sheets are delivered by a cylinder 29 to delivery grippers 31 which deposit them on a pile 33 accessible from a platform 34 spaced from the cylinders 25, 26. The inking and damping rollers 17, 18 : 27, 28 are arranged above the plate cylinders, and a platform 35 is arranged above the transfer cylinders. Set off is prevented by means of rollers 36 which apply an ink-repellant fluid to the impression cylinder 24, and this cylinder may for the same purpose be fitted with a flexible plate 37 of grained zinc, aluminium, or stainless steel.
