Abstract
555,598. Vapour burners. SERRANO, L. A. June 3, 1942, No. 7562. [Class 75 (i)] Liquid fuel is supplied through a preheating coiled pipe 1 to an annular vaporizing chamber 11 divided into three compartments connected by upstanding tubes 3, 5 to obstruct the passage of liquid residues. The vapour produced passes by a tube 7 to a nozzle 8 having lateral air inlets 9 and is discharged through a jet aperture 10 into the bell 12 of a flame distributer 13 having horizontal openings 14 for combustion in a space 15 surrounded by the chamber 11. The burner is mounted with a preheating spirit pan 31 on a chamber 27 secured to a stove platform 28. The chamber 27 communicates by valvecontrolled tubes 24, 23 with separate compartments 16, 17 of a fuel tank. The compartments 16, 17 are fitted with air pumps 18, 19 and contain paraffin and heavy oil respectively.
