Abstract
554,258. Cable & wire terminals. DELCOREMY & HYATT, Ltd., and RUSHTON, B. Feb. 10, 1942, No. 1719. [Class 38 (i)] A terminal is attached to a flexible cable having a conductive fibrous core, e.g. graphitized silk, by mechanically crimping the terminal to the core and then sealing it to the cable insulation by moulding rubber. The core b is drawn through a hollow terminal e which is then crimped upon the core and'a mass of moulded material f such as rubber solution is applied. The terminal may be bent to a hook form or it may be short so as to be covered by the moulding material which can be pierced by a prong on the inside of a metal terminal cap fitted to the cable end.
