553,988. Optical gauging-apparatus. LOXHAM, J., and SIGMA INSTRUMENT CO., Ltd. Nov. 10, 1941, No. 14478. [Class 106 (ii)] [Also in Group XX] In apparatus for magnifying the deflection of a light beam by repeated reflection between two mirrors variably inclined to one another, both mirrors are rotatable, the rotations being in opposite directions. As shown, mirrors B, C carried by brackets B<SP>1</SP>, C<SP>1</SP> on pivots B<SP>2</SP>, C<SP>2</SP>, and biased by springs B3, C3, turn simultaneously under the action of the springs and of arms D, E on a cross bar F carried by the plunger G of a measuring and indicating instrument for workpieces.
