Abstract
552,021. Calliper gauges. WILSKER, R. Sept. 17, 1941, No. 11882. [Class 106 (ii)] Comprises constructions in which pointers and scales indicate departure from the set dimensions. Fig. 1 shows an inside callipers of the type provided with a spring c and' setting screw and nut f, h. One of the legs has the usual fixed contact j while the other leg is provided with a contact k on a lever m pivoted near the end of the leg, the long arm being pressed by a spring o against a pin p on a scale n on the leg. Dimensions slightly less than the set dimension are indicated by movement of the lever, mover the scale. An outside callipers is described in which the long arm of the indicating lever is bent to conform with the leg and indicates right and left of a central zero. In a further form for an inside callipers the long arm of the lever acts on the short arm of a second lever to give increased amplification. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 22,153/98, 1,279/05, [both in Class 106], and 134,395, [Class 106 (ii)].
