550,585. Sewing-machines. FAIRWEATHER, W. C. (Singer Manufacturing Co.). Jan. 7, 1942, No. 257. [Class 112] The thread tension leaf spring 5 of a rotary hook spool-case 1 has a flange 12 fitting into a recess on the face of the spool-case. The normal recess 13 for the thread is provided between the flange 12 and a positioning finger 10 and a recess 17 in the flange reduces the likelihood of the threads being pulled past the flange in threading the spool-case.
