[Class 40 (iv] [Also in Group XL] A coupling between a balanced line 10 and an unbalanced line 11 comprises a pair of valves in push-pull having an impedance common to the two halves and providing degenerative feedback and a network in the input of one of the valves to increase the suppression of longitudinal currents. As shown, a dividing network R2, R3 is provided in the input to valve V<SP>1</SP>1 such as to balance out longitudinal currents and depending on the ratio of the mutual conductances of the valves and the value of the common cathode resistance R1. In this way lack of balance due to stray capacities at the higher frequencies may be corrected.
