[Class 7 (ii)] [Also in Group XXXIV] To prevent producer gas from acting deleteriously on the cylinder walls lubricating oil is added to the gas before it enters the cylinder. Lubricating oil from a container 14 passes through a sight feed apparatus 16 to a pipe conveying the gas to the engine the suction of which induces the lubri - cant. A valve 15 regulates the supply passage of the apparatus 16. Specification 541,533, [Group XII], is referred to.
