Abstract
529,500. Forced lubrication. DAIMLER-BENZ AKT.-GES. June 2, 1939, No. 16249. Convention date, June 14, 1938. [Class 12 (iii)] To prevent aeration of the oil passing into the collector c from the sump r or pumped into it from a subsidiary collector b, a float valve h is fitted which closes the draw-off opening in the pipe n when the level is low and so prevents air being drawn in. Oil for circulation is taken from the collector c to the main supply d. A filtering screen q can be fitted over c.
