Abstract

539,824. Watch cases. DUCOMMUN, P., (trading as DUCOMMUM FILS DE G.) March 23, 1940, No. 5369. Convention date, Feb. 15, 1940. [Class 139] A watch case 1 is provided with a mirror 5 inside the hinged cover 4 and means 10, 9 to maintain the cover in open or display position. The metal or glass mirror is held in place by a split ring 6. A resilient arcuate piece 12 is housed inside the case band with its hole 15 over the winding stem and a lug 17 supported in the case. A tongue 10 of the piece 12 presses against an abutment 9 on the cover 4. When the cover is closed the part 9 depresses the tongue 10 and the part 18 of piece 12 to the right of the lug 17, which acts as a fulcrum so that on release of the cover the stressed part 18 raises the cover.
