539,090. Collapsable vehicles. ROE, Ltd., C. H., and DAVIES, W. H. June 17, 1940, No. 10452. [Class 108 (i)] A vehicle body is provided, as shown in rear end elevation in Fig. 5, with one or more foldable or collapsable structures, each to constitute a wing extension of the main body compartment supported upon bearers 5 projectable from the chassis. The roof 17 and floor 18 of an extension are provided by flap members hinged to the side of the vehicle floor and roof and the side members 19 and 20 are provided by parts hinged to the outer free edges of members 17 and 18. The ends of an extension are closed by end flaps hinged to the front and rear bulkheads of the main body.
