Abstract
534,765. Batteries. SCHLOCHAUER, W. D. Nov. 22, 1939, No. 30536. [Class 53] An inert dry cell comprises an outer casing 1, a zinc container 5 enclosing a carbon electrode 2 and de-polarizing material 3, the container 5 being closed by a rubber washer 8 having two openings, one serving as an air vent and the other containing a small tube 9 through which the electrolyte is introduced. Sealing material 15 fills the space between the upper end of the zinc container and the upper end of the casing 1. The de-polarizing material is enclosed in a muslin bag. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 178,804, 191,488, [both in Class 53] and 369,708.
