Abstract
534,343. Cathode-ray tubes. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. Jan. 30, 1940, No. 1819. Convention date, Feb. 1, 1939. [Class 39 (i)] In the production of a photo-sensitive screen for cathode-ray tubes, a plate of aluminium 1 is electrolytically oxidized on its surface 2, and a silver coating 3 is applied to the oxidized surface. The plate is then heated to a temperature of the order of 400 C. to cause the oxide and silver layers to separate into small portions which are then sensitized with caesium &c.
