[Class 36] In an air-space high frequency concentric conductor cable in which the inner conductor is provided with a continuous coating of magnetizable material, the diameter of the inner conductor, the outer diameter across said coating, and the inner diameter of the outer conductor are so determined that for a given attenuation at a given frequency, the inner diameter of the outer conductor is a minimum. In an air space, high frequency spaced pair with one or both conductors provided with a similar coating, the diameters of the conductors and across the coating and the spacing of the conductors are similarly determined so that the spacing between the conductors is a minimum. Formulae are given. The magnetizable material comprises finely divided iron or highly magnetic alloy dispersed throughout an insulating binding material such as enamel, polystyrene or a mixture thereof with polyisobutylene &c. a high melting point wax, rubber or guttapercha and may be applied in the form of a drying paste, as by extrusion.
