528,829. Adjusting slides or buckles. WALKER, Ltd.,.T., and WALKER, G. T. May 16, 1939, No. 14546. [Class 43] An adjusting slide or buckle, particularly for braces, comprises a rectangular frame 1, 2, with intermediate bars 3, 4, of which the bar 3 is serrated at 3a, and a T-shaped lever 6 hinged to the member 1 of the frame and formed with a catch 8 adapted to snap into engagement with the lower member 2 of the frame. The T-portion 7 of this lever is serrated at 7a or formed plain with a gripping edge, to grip the brace band threaded through the slide when the lever is turned down into operative position. In a modification, the portion 7 may be dispensed with, and the lever 6 itself provided with teeth or other gripping means to engage the brace band.
