[Class 20 (iv)] A rectangular building block more particularly for floors has two adjacent sides stepped or inclined inwards at one end. Flanges n, n', Fig. 6, may extend from the other sides along the length of the block. One, two or more holes may extend through the block. Grooves h, h', h<SP>2</SP>, h<SP>3</SP>, Fig. 9, may be provided adjacent reinforcing rods m which are arranged in concrete b forming a frame between the blocks.
