Abstract
647,975. Floors. PUBLICIDAD BALEAR SOC. ANON. Dec. 31, 1947, No. 35133. Convention date, May 23, 1941. [Class 20(iv)] A floor incorporates beams constructed of terra cotta &c. blocks a, b, c reinforced with iron bars 4 embedded in concrete 5 in an open channel in the under surface, and with a laterally projecting flange 2 throughout the length at each of the lower longitudinal edges parallel to the open channel, the depth of the channel being not less than about half the depth of the blocks. The blocks have cavities and bevelled upper edges 3, and are aligned and joined to form the beams which are placed side by side with the flanges 2 in contact, and supported at the ends on the wall x. Concrete 7 is cast in the gaps 8 between the beams and as a levelling layer 6, and is reinforced by rods 9 near the upper and/or lower surface. Specification 647,972 is referred to.
