Abstract

535,623. Hollow building-blocks. BROCKLESBY, J. S. Feb. 3, 1940. No. 28475. [Class 87 (i)] A building-block of concrete &c. comprises a shallow rectangular frame formed of ends 11 and sides 12, the latter connected across the middle by a partition 10 forming two separate through cavities adapted to receive a filling of sand &c. and the corners provided with wedge e shaped fillets 13 adapted to support wedge plates e for keying each course with a lower one as shown in Fig. 4; notches 14 are adapted to take reinforcement rods. The blocks may be 3ft. long, 1ft. 6ins. wide and 6ins. in height.
