Abstract

523,074. Wireless receiving systems. KOLSTER-BRANDES Ltd., BEATTY, W. A., and CHATTERJEA, P. K. Dec. 23, 1938, No. 37492. [Class 40 (v)] A dipole antenna 1 is connected at one end to a pair of spaced parallel conductors 2, 3 forming an impedance-matching transformer coupling the dipole to a transmission line 4 terminated by a short wave coil 5 the centre point of which is earthed through a condenser 10 and long wave coil 11. The coil 5 is coupled to a short wave receiver 6 and the coil 11 to a long wave receiver 13. A short wave choke may be connected between the coil 5 and condenser 10 and the long wave impedances may be short-circuited by a switch as described in Specification 453,484.
