Abstract
520,037. Photo-electric exposure meters. METRAWATT AKT.-GES. FABRIK ELEKTRISCHER MESSGERATE. Oct. 11, 1938, No. 29426. Convention date, Oct. 11, 1937. [Class 40 (iii)] In a photographic exposure meter having a hinged cover with a light-reflecting coating disposed in front of the photo-element, the meter has at least two measurement ranges brought into operation by moving the cover into one or other of two definite positions exposing different light inlet apertures. As shown, the cover f hinged at p carries a coating g which reflects light admitted through a slot h on to the photo-element a connected to a direct current meter. On rotating the cover the slot h is enlarged to give a different measurement range the position of the cover being fixed by notches. Extraneous light is prevented from reaching the cell by foldable side members connected to the cover. The slot h may be of rectangular, curved or sinusoidal shape. The wall o of the light passage may be reflecting, and a transparent protecting screen may be inserted in the passage. Specification 454,704, [Group XX] is referred to.
