519,439. -Door bodies; panels. JOHNSON, C. A. Sept. 22, 1938, No. 27682. [Classes 20 (iii) and 20 (iv)] A panel or a metal-panelled door comprises sheet metal stiles 1 bent to form panel-receiving grooves 6 and panels having two sheet metal faces 12 bent inwardly into contact at 14 extended in parallelism for a short distance and then diverging to engage frictionally with the sides of the grooves 6. The edges may be turned inwardly at the ends from the point of contact with the sides of the groove. The panels may have insulating packing 16 secured by adhesive to the outer panels or may be reinforced as described in Specification 519,438.
