Abstract
463,078. Metal doors. CRITTALL MANUFACTURING CO., Ltd., and CRITTALL, W. F. Sept. 26, 1935, Nos. 26667 /35 and 19077 /36. [Class 20 (iii)] A door of the kind comprising two metal panels united to I-section or like fillets C by spot-welding have one or both the flanges of the fillets H, J extended beyond the edge of the panel to engage a check or checks on the frame, Fig. 3. The fillets may be countersunk to take a panel or the panel may be extended over the edge of the flange to form a check. The exposed edges of the plates and fillets are protected by a metal spray of zinc or the like. The doors may be partly glazed as for French windows, Fig. 4, one of the fillets being provided with a glazing flange. The door may be braced by members between the panels and wood or other soundinsulating material may be inserted between the panels.
