[Class 35] [Also in Group XXXVII] A three-phase serieswound commutator motor is speed regulated by means of an induction regulator D having a primary winding P connected in series with the motor stator winding St and a secondary winding S connected to the motor commutator K. The regulator D is constructed as a three-phase asynchronous machine, and for remote control the connections between its secondary and the motor commutator may include a transformer.
