Abstract
517,523. Boxes. HENDRY, J. July 20, 1938, No. 21550. [Class 18] An article-positioning fitting for use in a box is made from a blank which is scored and cut to form a series of parallel strips 3, Fig. 2, and, when the blank is folded as shown; articles, such as packets P, can be located in the steps or pockets formed by the strips. In an alternative method of folding the blank, the parts 1a are vertical and the strips 3 form two series of corrugations on which articles can be supported. Alternative blanks comprise parts 1, 2 and only one series of strips 3, on the blank shown in Fig. 4 wherein the part 8 is doubled to constitute a central vertical partition and the strips 3 with cut-outs 13 form two series of sloping article-supporting ledges, one on each side of the partition. The two thicknesses of the partition are stapled together and the parts 11, 12 are bent down and under to form side walls and a base and the tabs 9 are slipped in between the gaps left between the staples in the partition.
