Abstract

310,388. Cleland, Ltd., W. W., and Cleland, J. A. Jan. 20, 1928. Boxes made from special blanks; fittings, internal.-A folding box of the kind in which a perforated panel is inset from the top or base of the box for holding eggs or other fragile articles elastically, is formed from a blank. Fig. 5, provided with parallel scorings so that it can be folded to form the box shown in Fig. 1 with the following panels in sepuence : a flap 14, the perforated panel 13 at right angles thereto, a second flap 12 parallel to the flap 14, a rear side wall 5 parallel to the flap 12, a base 1 at right angles to the wall 5, a front side wall 7 parallel to the wall 5 and a cover 9 parallel to the base 1; a lower removable support for the articles is formed of a perforated panel 17 with flaps 18 spacing it from the base of the box. The cover may be provided with tuck-in flaps 10, 11 and end-closing flaps 4, 8 on the side walls are retained in place by flaps 2 on the base provided with tongues 3 which are turned in over the top edges of the flaps 4, 8 and engage slots 6 in the flaps 4.
