516,777. Indiarubber compositions. ROBERTS, H. V., and McCORMICK, J. C. July 7, 1938, No. 20080. Drawings to Specification. [Class 70] Fluid-tight packings are made from a composition of a synthetic rubber and wood wool fibres. Textile fibres or fabric and grease may be added. The composition may be made up in the form of rope-like packing or as gaskets or pump cups or buckets. The synthetic rubbers may be those described in Specification 451,442, 453,854, 456,359, 461,632, 461,635 [all in Group IV], and 457,310 or neoprene or. the substances sold under the Registered Trade Mark, "Buna." Wood wool may be ground with the synthetic rubber until the fibres have lengths between 1/16 and 5/16 of an inch. The composition may be vulcanized by heat and pressure.
