Abstract
516,550. Band clips. KENYON, A. S. G. and LEANEY, H. June 29, 1938, No. 19206. [Class 44] A clip for securing hosepipes and like uses is made from a single strip of metal folded to give double thickness, the folded end being curled to produce a lug 3. At the other end the inner layer 5 is extended to bridge the gap whilst the outer layer is curled as shown to provide a lug 4 of double thickness. The lugs are perforated to receive' the bolt 6 which is disposed substantially in contact with the part 5. In a modification, the free end of the outer layer is first folded to give double thickness and is then curled to form a lug 4 similar to lug 3. An attachment ring 7 may be secured in a kink of the outer layer for use, for example, in supporting a coupling hose on a railway vehicle.
