Abstract
516,501. Pipe connectors. ECONOMIC WATER SOFTENER, Ltd., SHINER, S., and GOLDER, H. C. July 16, 1938, No. 21168. [Class 99 (i)] [Also in Group XXIX] A junction-piece for connecting pipes to apparatus such as a water-softener, designed to avoid the crossing of lengths of pipe, comprises a casing having two passages side-by-side, one passage b having a lower connection b<2> to a supply pipe and an upper lateral connection b<1> to the inlet pipe of the apparatus, the other passage c having a lower lateral connection c' to the outlet pipe of the apparatus and an upper connection c<2> to a delivery pipe. The partition may have an opening g controlled by a valve for by-passing the apparatus if desired. Specification 511,797 is referred to.
