Abstract
515,311. Loud-speakers; resonators. CHILLINGSWORTH, L. May 27, 1938, No. 15838. [Class 40 (iv)] [Also in Group XXXVIII]. A sound -reproducing amplifier comprises a series of resonators c, d, e each having two or more spaced walls c' connected rigidly at their periphery and stressed apart by sounding posts c<SP>3</SP>, each resonator . having in its inner wall an opening c<SP>2</SP> for the emission of sound waves. As shown in Fig. 2, three resonators are arranged vertically and their lower edges are connected to the baffle board b. Four or more such resonators may be arranged in the form of a tapered horn (Figs. 3 and 4, not shown), the smaller ends being secured to the baffle board. Specifications 114,844 and 247,532, [both in Class 13], are referred to.
