508,173. Cellulose derivatives; anticrease finishes. FABBEREI - AKT. - GES. VORM. E. STOLTE NACHFOLGER & W. MISSY, WALTMANN, E., and WOLF, E. Feb. 1, 1938, No. 30983. Divided out of and addition to 494,761. [Classes 2 (ii) and 15 (ii)] [Also in Group VIII] In place of the quaternary ammonium compounds of the parent Specification there are employed quaternary ammonium compounds of the halogen methyl ethers of urethanes, hydrazides and partially acylated ureas of the ganeral formulµ RO.CONH2. R.CO.NH.NH2, and R.CO.NH.CO.NH2, wherein R is' an aliphatic residue of at least 10 carbon atoms, which compounds may be prepared as described in Specification 492,699. As in the parent Specification the water repellent treatment may be combined with crease-proofing. Examples are given of water-repellent treatment alone and combined with crease-proofing.
