Abstract

504,871. Spray carburetters. STADLER, E. June 17, 938, No. 18054. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Dec. 19, 1938.] [Class 7 (iii)] A two-part Venturi tube 8, 9 made of insulating material such as synthetic resin, encloses an annular aluminium block 12 which surrounds an electric heating coil 22. Fuel is supplied from a floatchamber I through a pipe 7 controlled by a valve 15 to an annular passage 13 in the block 12 which communicates through radial passages 11 with the fuel nozzle 10. Fuel is also supplied through a pipe to an annular passage 20 in the block beneath the coil 22 and is delivered through a passage 24 and ports 25, 26 into the outlet passage 27. The outside of the block is unclosed in insulating material. A cone 32 controlled by the throttle valve 31 varies the air passage through the Venturi tube.
