[Class 71] [Also in Group XIII] A liquid is heated by direct contact with steam or other vapour or gas injected into the liquid from a pipe 5 through helical grooves 2 on a cylinder 1 surrounded by a sleeve 3. Liquid is drawn into a casing 5 around the pipe through openings 7, 8.
