504,464. Compound building- slabs. LANGWORTHY, C. F. Oct. 25, 1937, No. 29125. [Class 87 (i)] [Also in Group VIII] Compound sheet material for building &c. comprises a number of felted sheets of asbestoscement having therebetween one or more reinforcing sheets of expanded metal, wire netting or gauze, and is faced on each side with sheet metal, expanded metal, wire netting or gauze. The reinforcing sheets may be coated with bitumen or non-corrosive paint, and the outer sheets may be zinc-coated, e.g. galvanized iron or steel: A metal sheet with keying projections on its upper side is laid on a support, a number of freshly-formed asbestos-cement sheets are superimposed thereon with expanded metal, wire netting or gauze between any or all of them, a metal sheet is placed on top with keying projections on its lower side, and the layers are united by pressure.
