Abstract
502,924. Wrenches. CAMILLIS, L. Dec. 7, 1937, No. 33784. [Class 61 (iii)] A device for use in unscrewing a freewheel unit from the hub of a cycle or like wheel comprises a rigid plate or carrier 1 having a plain hole 2 through it to engage the end of the hub spindle, on which the usual nut is then screwed to act as an abutment, the carrier 1 being also formed with screw-threaded holes to receive threaded pins 4, 5 having conical &c. ends 8, 9 for engagement with recesses or holes in the closing-ring of the ball-race of the free-wheel unit. The plate 1 is of an oblong form suitable to be gripped by the user, or by an implement such as a vice. The screw pins 4, 5 are actuated by tommy-bars 10, 11, and preferably converge towards their inner ends, so that the device can be used for free-wheel units of different sizes.
