Abstract
501,517. Gas burners. DURAND, E. July 29, 1937, No. 20979. [Class 75 (i)] A burner for pressure gas-air mixture comprises transverse partitions b, c spaced apart in the casing a to form an expansion chamber e for part of the main mixture, or a chamber for a separate supply of low pressure mixture, and one or more main outlet tubes g extending into one or more corresponding tubes h, or openings p, to form an annular outlet for low pressure mixture around each main outlet. The auxiliary annular flames serve for maintaining the main flames on the burner. The chamber e may communicate with the main chamber d through holes l<1> in the partition b or through a byepass l, provided with a restriction or a cock. The tubes g may be cylindrical or polygonal, formed with smooth or fluted thickened portions at the outlet end, and provided with several ducts. A further partition e.g.j may be provided to form a chamber for secondary compressed air having an annular outlet, formed by an opening or tube i, around each tube h,
