Abstract
499,381. Road vehicles. CAPO, E. July 20, 1937, No. 20132. [Class 108 (i)] A road truck for transporting railway wagons comprises two wheeled end bogies A, A<1> each carrying one end of two half-frames 1, 1<1> in such a manner that that end may be raised by jack means or by a cam wheel 3. The other ends of the two half-frames are adapted to be coupled to intermediate bogies B, B<1> each consisting of an axle 8, wheels 7 and sockets 9 into which the inner ends of the frames 1, 11 take and are secured. The railway wagon D which is in position is then engaged by means of telescopic bolts 10, Fig. 6, in the frames 1, 11 the heads 10<1> of the bolts engaging the wagon wheels C and when the ends of the frames 1, 1<1> are raised the railway wagon is supported for transporting as shown in Fig. 6. Specifications 424,427 and 463,951 are referred to.
