388,168. Vehicles with removable bodies; arrangement of wheels. DYSON, J., DYSON & CO., Ltd., R. A., 76, Grafton Street, Liverpool, and MARENBON, A., 55, Lordship Road, Stoke Newington, London. Dec. 30, 1931, Nos. 35938/31 and 2179/32. [Classes 103 (iv), 108 (i), and 108 (ii).] A tank vehicle for milk, molasses, &c. provided with road wheels, preferably pneumatic tyred, is adapted to be run on to a railway wagon having rails or equivalent supports whereby the tank vehicle is supported otherwise than on its road wheels. As shown, auxiliary wheels 7 are mounted on the brake drums 9 by bolts 8 and these wheels 7 are adapted to engage rails 11 having inclined ends 12 and mounted on the railway wagon 10. Securing means such as chains are fastened to shackles 14. The floor of the wagon is preferably provided with recesses 15 so that as the vehicle is run on to the wagon the road wheels will run down the inclines 17 and the vehicle be supported clear of its road wheels. The supporting means instead of the wheels 7 may comprise skids, cams, &c. The tank vehicle is provided with trailer bars 23, run off cocks 22, man hole 18 and filling aperture 19.
