Abstract
499,242. Fluid pressure servomotorcontrol systems. BOSCH GES., R. March 12, 1938, No. 7731. Convention date, March 13, 1937. [Class 135] A servomotor for operating the regulator of an engine fuel-injection pump uses as motive fluid purified lubricating oil from a lubricating oil pipe independent of the lubrication of the engine. The Figure shows the servomotor controlled by barometric pressure acting on an aneroid capsule 14. The capsule is coupled by a lever 13 to a piston control valve 12 associated with a double-acting piston 4a, directly connected to the regulating rack 4 of the fuel pumps. A gear-wheel pump 15 draws lubricating oil from a reservoir 17 and discharges it under pressure through a pipe 18 to a lubricating chamber 7 for the pump plungers and through a pipe 19 to the servomotor control valve. Exhaust oil from the servomotor is returned to the reservoir through a pipe 20. The aneroid capsule may be replaced by other control elements as for example a thermosensitive element subject to atmospheric temperature.
