[Class 36] [Also in Groups XL, XX, and XXXV] The anode of a high-voltage X-ray tube is sealed to the glass envelope by a cup of ironnickel-cobalt alloy and intermediate glass rings arranged to leave no re-entrant spaces. A cylindrical metal part is also sealed to the end of a cylindrical glass part within the tube by similar intermediate rings. Particular glasses are specified.
