Abstract
493,880. Picture frames &c. KODAK, Ltd. April 17, 1937, No. 11031. Convention date, April 29, 1936. [Class 11] [Also in Group XX] A carrier for a photographic film, particularly for use as a lantern or viewing slide, comprises an apertured tray for holding the film, a detachable apertured cover for the tray, means including transparent sheets between which the film is held substantially flat, and means associated with one of said members and co-operating with the transparent sheets to hold the film in registry with apertures in the members. As shown, the tray 11, formed from sheet metal, has an aperture 21 and upstruck lugs 30 adapted to engage marginal perforations in a picture film 12. Beneath the film is a glass plate .40 abutting on the lugs 30 and the ends 26 of the tray, and a similar glass plate 41 rests on the film in the same abutting relation. Over the tray is slidden a sheet metal cover 13 having an aperture 43 and guiding channels 49. The cover engages the surface of the glass 41, and causes the film to be pressed flat between the two glass plates.
