Abstract
493,213. Inductances. MICHAELIS, E., and FRIEDLAENDER, E. April 28, 1937, No. 12103. [Class 38 (ii)] A variable highfrequency inductance has a magnetic dust core in two parts a, f, the one in the form of a cotton-reel having a conical bore and the other being correspondingly tapered and movable axially to vary the air gap m. Movement of the part f may be effected by rotating it on a screwed insulating spindle passing axially through the bore of the fixed part. Alternatively, a screwed actuating spindle g engaging a threaded hole in a fixed member may be provided. Specification 460,503 is referred to.
