Abstract
491,783. Draught-excluders for sliding doors. HOLMES, H., and RICHARDSON, P. S. Feb. 5, 1937, No. 3409. [Class 20 (iii)] A draught and dust excluder for the meeting edges of sliding doors, windows, and the like g, of show cases and the like, comprises a pivoted spring-controlled rib b adapted to engage the edge of each door and to be moved into inclined position when the doors are opened, as shown in Fig. 8. When closed, the excluder strip is adapted to be held by a catch d pivoted at f and slotted to engage a projecting edge e, the doors being thereby secured in the closed position, Fig. 9. The controlling spring is connected to a ring n on the upper pivot of the strip above the pivot plate.
