Abstract

488,960. Supporting signs. GOWSHALL, Ltd., and GOWSHALL, B. Feb. 5, 1937, No. 3455. [Class 3 (ii)] [Also in Groups XXV and X] A name-plate or sign 1, Fig. 1, is secured by a stirrup 5 fitted around a post 6 and provided with inwardly - turned ends 4 lying behind and under the ends of a channel plate 2 secured to the back of the plate 1. The stirrup is secured by a bolt 8 having a square neck 9 and has inwardly-curved limbs 11. The channel 2 is secured to the plate 1 by riveting, bolting, or welding. In a modification, Fig. 3, shoulders 12 are formed near the ends 4 to engage the outer surface of channel 2.
