Abstract
488,438. Heating air. SCHWARTZKOPF, F. Feb. 5, 1937, No. 3504. Convention date, July 27, 1936. [Class 64 (i)] In a builders' drying-stove, the gases from a coke basket 6 flow downwards through flue pipes 24 enclosed by the airbeating chamber surrounding the basket to the space 15 beneath the grate. The plates 13 forming the outer walls of the airheating chamber are suspended from the outwardly bent ends of angle irons 12 at the top of the framework supporting the tubes 5 forming the sides of the coke basket. The flow of gases through the flue pipes 24 is controlled by a cylindrical damper 18 in the smoke box 7.
